Let me tell you about this spot. I recently got a gift card from a friend for Uncle Bill’s Pancake House in Ocean City and let me tell you, it was a game changer. I was able to indulge in all of the pancakes my heart desired. But let’s get into the nitty-gritty.

From the classic buttermilk pancakes to more unique flavors like blueberry ricotta, Los Angeles has something for every pancake lover.
Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe
Now, let’s say you don’t want to leave the house for pancakes. I’ve got you covered. Here’s my favorite recipe for classic buttermilk pancakes.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook until browned on the other side.
- Repeat with remaining batter. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
