Good morning, coffee lovers! Today, we want to talk about one of our absolute favorite coffee drinks: the undertow. If you haven’t tried this heavenly concoction yet, you are in for a treat.
The Starbucks Undertow
First up, we have the classic Starbucks undertow. This decadent drink is made with espresso, a splash of syrup, and steamed half-and-half. Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
- 1 shot of espresso
- 1/2 oz of flavored syrup (we love caramel or vanilla!)
- 1/2 cup of half-and-half
Instructions:
- Start by pouring the syrup into the bottom of a small espresso cup.
- Add the shot of espresso on top of the syrup.
- Next, steam your half-and-half until it’s hot and frothy.
- Carefully pour the half-and-half over the back of a spoon, so that it sits on top of the espresso and syrup. This will create the signature “undertow” effect!
- Sip and enjoy!
