Alright folks, strap in because I’m about to tell you about the best damn pancakes I’ve ever made. And trust me, I’ve made a lot of pancakes in my day. But this recipe, oh boy. It’ll knock your socks off.

First up, we’ve got a pancake recipe from The Food Charlatan. Now, I don’t know who this charlatan is, but they know their way around a pancake. So grab your whisk and let’s get started.

The Best Pancakes I’ve Ever Made

Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Mix together the dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar).
  2. Whisk the wet ingredients together in a separate bowl (buttermilk, egg, melted butter).
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake.
  5. Cook until the edges start to look dry and the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook until the other side is golden brown too.
  6. Slather those pancakes in butter and syrup and try not to eat the entire stack in one sitting.
