I love trying out new recipes, and I recently came across a delicious chicken samosa recipe that I just had to share! This crispy and savory snack is perfect for Ramadan or any occasion, really. Plus, it’s super easy to make, so you don’t have to worry about spending hours in the kitchen. Just follow the steps below and enjoy!

Chicken Samosa

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. ground coriander
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 package of samosa pastry sheets (available at most Indian grocery stores)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large frying pan, heat some oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Add the coriander, cumin, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the cilantro, green onions, and water. Mix well and let cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
  7. Take one sheet of samosa pastry and cut it in half lengthwise.
  8. Fold each half into a cone shape, sealing the edges with some water.
  9. Fill the cone with some of the chicken mixture and fold the top of the pastry over to seal it closed.
  10. Continue with the remaining pastry sheets until all of the mixture is used up.
  11. In a deep frying pan, heat some oil over medium heat.
  12. Carefully add the samosas to the oil and fry until golden brown on all sides, flipping occasionally.
  13. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  14. Serve hot and enjoy!
