  5. Add the soaked dal, salt and water. Mix well and bring to a boil.
  6. Cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes or until the dal and oats are cooked.

  3. Add tomatoes and sauté till they become mushy.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  5. Add oats and mix well. Sauté for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5-6 minutes till oats are cooked.
  7. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Mix well.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
