- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Add the baking soda and salt, mix well.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Finally, add the flour and gently stir until flour disappears. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour on the middle rack or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Transfer the banana bread to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease and line a 11 x 21cm loaf pan with baking paper.

- Add the flour, walnuts and condensed milk and gently fold until a smooth, thick batter forms.
- Pour into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
- Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut into slices and enjoy!
