Greetings my loves,
I got a new breakfast recipe I’d love to share with y’all today. It’s called Baked Oats and let me tell you, it’s the perfect way to start your day with a healthy and filling meal.
First up, you gotta gather your ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need:
– 2 cups old-fashioned oats
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 2 ripe bananas
– 1 egg
– 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
– 2 tbsp maple syrup
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– Your choice of toppings (I went with blueberries, almond butter, and honey)
Once you’ve got everything, it’s time to start cooking. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mash the bananas until they’re smooth. Then add in the egg, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, and whisk until everything is fully combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and stir until everything is well mixed.
Next up, it’s time to add in your toppings. I like to add them directly into the oat mixture, but you can also add them on top if you prefer.
Pour the mixture into your greased baking dish, and smooth it out so everything is even.
Now it’s time to bake! Pop your dish into the oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and the center is set.
Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing it up into servings. I like to add a drizzle of honey on top, but you can serve it however you’d like!
