I had to share this amazing recipe I found for Upside Down Apple Pie. Trust me, it’s a game-changer!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 deep dish pie crust (9 inches)
  • 6 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples

First, preheat your oven to 425°F. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Spread this mixture evenly on the bottom of the pie crust.

Arrange the sliced apples over the mixture, packing them down slightly. Place another pie crust on top and make sure to tuck in the edges. Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 375°F and continue baking for another 45 minutes. Let the pie cool for 5 minutes and then invert it onto a serving platter. Voila, you have an amazing Upside Down Apple Pie!

To start, preheat the oven to 375°F. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Pour the mixture into the crust and arrange the apples over the top.
