One of my all-time favourite breakfast dishes is pancakes with a side of crispy bacon and a warm cup of coffee. Today, I wanted to share with you a recipe for delicious pancakes made with baking soda that will surely make your taste buds dance with joy!
Let’s start with the ingredients:
– 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 tablespoon of white sugar
– 1 1/4 cups of milk
– 1 egg
– 3 tablespoons of butter, melted
Now, let’s get started on the recipe:
1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
2. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk and melted butter.
3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until all the lumps are gone.
4. Heat a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium heat. Use a quarter cup measuring cup to pour the batter onto the frying pan or griddle.
5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges start to look set. Flip the pancake and cook until the other side is golden brown.
6. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
