Baked oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfast dishes. It’s warm, comforting, and oh-so-satisfying. Whether you’re a fan of sweet or savory breakfasts, these baked oatmeal recipes are sure to please.

Baked Oatmeal

Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, nuts, raisins, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the oatmeal is set.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Oats Egg Omelette

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, eggs, milk, onion, bell pepper, turmeric powder, red chili powder (if using), and salt.
  2. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the bottom is set.
  4. Flip the omelette and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until the other side is also set and golden brown.
  5. Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot with your favorite ketchup or sauce.
