Baked Oatmeal
Ingredients:
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, nuts, raisins, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the oatmeal is set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Oats Egg Omelette
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 2 Tbsp oil
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, eggs, milk, onion, bell pepper, turmeric powder, red chili powder (if using), and salt.
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the bottom is set.
- Flip the omelette and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until the other side is also set and golden brown.
- Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot with your favorite ketchup or sauce.
Baked Oats

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the oats, milk, egg, honey, vanilla extract, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir in the mashed banana until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the oats are set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
