I got a new recipe for y’all to try out — coffee jelly. Don’t knock it until you try it, because it’s actually bomb. I found the recipe and a couple other coffee-related things on this website, and wanted to share it with y’all.

Coffee Jelly

Okay, so you might be thinking “what in the world is coffee jelly?” and I don’t blame you. I was skeptical at first too. But basically, it’s a dessert made with coffee-flavored gelatin (Jell-O). It’s pretty easy to make, and tastes delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee (strong is best)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cream (or milk)

Instructions

  1. Mix together brewed coffee and sugar in a saucepan. Heat up the mixture until the sugar dissolves. Do not boil.
  2. Add in the unflavored gelatin powder, and stir until it completely dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in water and cream (or milk).
  4. Pour the mixture into a mold or container, and let it set. This can take a few hours or you can leave it overnight in the refrigerator.
  5. Cut the jelly into small cubes, and serve chilled.
