  • 1 tsp whole black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together white vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, bay leaves, and whole black peppercorns. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sear the chicken pieces until browned on all sides.
  3. Transfer chicken and marinade to a pot and add water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer and cook for 30-40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from pot and set aside. Continue to simmer the marinade and sauce until the liquid has reduced by half.
  5. Return chicken to the pot and toss in the reduced sauce.
