  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 5-7 tablespoons cold water
  • 6 cups thinly sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Milk

Directions:
