I stumbled upon these two amazingly delicious recipes that I just had to share with all of you. The first recipe is for a traditional Filipino delicacy called Sayongsong. If you’ve never tried it before, you’re in for a real treat!
For this recipe, you’ll need:
– 2 cups glutinous rice flour
– 1 1/4 cups coconut milk
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1/4 cup water
– 1/4 cup grated coconut
Combine the glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated. Add water if the mixture is too dry.
Divide the mixture into small balls and flatten each one out. Place 1 teaspoon of grated coconut in the center of each flatten ball and seal the edges. Wrap each one in a banana leaf and steam for about 20 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
The second recipe is for Triple Chocolate Banana Bread. As the name suggests, it’s a chocolate lover’s dream come true. The addition of ripe bananas gives this bread an irresistible moistness and sweetness.
To make this bread, you’ll need:
– 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 cup sugar
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 2 large eggs
– 3 ripe bananas, mashed
– 1/2 cup sour cream
– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat together the sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined. Stir in the mashed bananas and sour cream. Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
