- 1 cup of mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 tablespoon of biryani spice mix (or 1 tablespoon each of cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of water
- Oil for frying
To make the biryani:
- Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
- Fry the onions, garlic, and ginger in oil until soft.
- Add the chickpeas, vegetables, and biryani spice mix and cook for a few minutes.
- Drain the rice and add it to the pot with 2 cups of water, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low and cover.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
To roast the chicken, simply marinate it in your favorite spices and then bake at 375°F for 45-60 minutes until cooked through.

- 1/2 cup of water
- Oil for frying
To make the batter:
- Mix the chickpea flour, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chilli powder, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- Add the diced onion and enough water to make a thick batter (around 1/2 cup).
To make the pakoras and samosas:
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Spoon a tablespoon of batter into the hot oil to make pakoras, or scoop a tablespoon of batter onto a samosa wrapper and fold into a triangle (seal with a flour paste).
- Fry until golden brown on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Easy Desserts for Eid
Finally, we have a delectable image of bread gulab jamun. To make this decadent dessert, you’ll need:
- 1 cup of milk powder
- 1/4 cup of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup of melted ghee or butter
- 1/4 cup of milk

To make the gulab jamun:
- Mix the milk powder, flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- Add the ghee or butter and milk to the bowl and mix until a smooth dough forms.
