These pancakes are filled with a sweet walnut mixture and drizzled with syrup. Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 cups of water

  4. Make small pancakes, about 3 inches in diameter, and fill each one with the walnut mixture.

  • 4 cups of milk

Instructions:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of honey

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Butter the bottoms and sides of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  5. Cover the phyllo with a dampened cloth to keep it from drying out while you work.

  8. Repeat this process, layering two sheets at a time, until you have used up half of the phyllo dough.

  10. Layer the remaining sheets of phyllo on top, and brush each layer with butter.
  11. Cut a diamond pattern into the top layer of phyllo, all the way through to the filling.
  12. Bake for about 50 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  13. Mix the honey and vanilla extract with the water, and heat until boiling.
  14. Let it cool slightly, and then pour the syrup over the hot baklava.
  15. Let the baklava absorb the syrup, and cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
