Hey there friend! Today we’re going to be making some delicious banana bread, perfect for breakfast or as a dessert. We have two different recipes to share with you, one made with 100% whole wheat and the other gluten-free, so everyone can enjoy this yummy treat.
100% Whole Wheat Banana Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Mix in the mashed bananas. Gradually add in the flour mixture and milk, alternating in small portions until fully combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
Gluten-Free Banana Bread
Ingredients:

- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, at room temperature
